Going Back to What Works

by Tiffany on January 24, 2012

Low carb works for me and that is what I am going back to. I know there is a lot of controversy over low carb diets but I have lost weight on it in the past (before getting pregnant) and I know it works.

If you read my last post about binges you may be confused about this, but I have been doing some more thinking lately and if I completely stay away from things like pizza, pasta, and white bread then there is no way I can binge on it. The reason why I used to binge on a low carb diet in the past is because I used to allow myself a cheat day were I could eat what I want. Well, that day would turn into a huge binge and I would easily consume more than 3500 calories. This time around there is no “cheat day.”

Right now I am already down over 5 pounds since I last wrote on this blog and I have 25 more pounds that I really want to lose before summer (June) gets here. If I lose those 25 pounds I will no longer be considered obese in the BMI calculator. I need to drop these 25 pounds and I am going back to what works…low carb.

I definitely think that 25 pounds in about 5 months is attainable and I think if I stick with the plan I can actually lose more than that. That is only about 5 pounds a month or a little over a pound a week. I normally lose anywhere from 1-3 pounds on a low carb diet. There may be a plateau in there but I am hoping that I don’t reach it until those 25 pounds are gone.

So, I am back and low carbing it. I will lose these 25 pounds and then work on losing the next 25 more!
